In June 2019 the Resolven Miners Welfare Scheme was nominated for a volunteering award in association with the Council for Voluntary Service Neath Port Talbot and the Wales Council for Voluntary Action. The charity was very please to learn that we had won the Social Impact category. The award was part of the national volunteers week and recognises outstanding contributions that volunteers make towards community projects just like the Resolven Mminers Welfare.
