I am currently the stewardess of the Resolven Miners Welfare and I am enjoying every minute of it!

Resolven born and bred with no wish to move anywhere else. I invest as much as I can find time for into the village and have been involved with numerous village projects over the years. At the moment I am part of the Resolven Community Events Group who organise and deliver the annual Resolven Carnival event.

The history of Resolven is largely based on the coal industry and the Resolven Miners Welfare is a reminder of this. Reading the historical minute books and financial accounts contained within the building really brings the old place back to life and shows what a huge part it has played in the life of Resolven since the 1920s.
